Terms of Service for ₿TC Bit By Bit

3.1 Age Requirements

• Primary Account Holders: Must be 18+ years old
• Family Members: Children under 18 may use the service under parental supervision
• Verification: Age verification may be required

3.2 Account Registration

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update account information
• One account per person (primary account holders)
• Responsible for all account activity

3.3 Identity Verification

To comply with regulatory requirements, you may need to provide:

• Government-issued identification
• Proof of address
• Additional documentation for verification

4.2 Subscription Fees

• Fees are charged on the billing interval you select: monthly, annually, or 3-year
• All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice

4.3 Payment Terms

• Web payments processed through Stripe
• Mobile payments processed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Refunds subject to Section 8 (Cancellation and Refunds)

4.4 Free Trial

• Free trials may be offered for paid tiers
• Trial cancellation required before trial period ends
• Credit card authorization may be required

4.5 In-App Purchases

• Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to the respective store's terms and conditions
• Billing, refunds, and cancellation for in-app purchases are managed through the respective app store
• Features and entitlements are consistent regardless of purchase method

5.1 Wallet Types

₿TC Bit By Bit provides self-custody wallets only. This means:

• You control your private keys and are solely responsible for their security
• Your Bitcoin is yours - we never hold or have access to your funds
• Recovery phrase security is your responsibility - store it safely and never share it

5.2 Bitcoin Transactions

All Users: Must secure account credentials and enable 2FA

Recovery Phrases: Must be stored securely offline and never shared with anyone

5.4 Backup and Recovery

• Recovery phrase is required for wallet restoration
• Lost recovery phrases cannot be recovered by the Company
• We recommend storing your recovery phrase in multiple secure locations

6.1 Content License

• Educational content licensed for personal, non-commercial use
• Content may not be redistributed or used commercially
• Achievement rewards are earned through legitimate completion

6.2 Rewards Program and Sats-Back

Educational Rewards:

• Small amounts of Bitcoin ("sats") earned through completing educational activities
• Rewards credited to your Redeem wallet within the app

Chore Rewards:

• Children earn points by completing parent-assigned chores
• Points can be redeemed for sats, subject to parental approval
• Reward amounts are set by parents when creating chores

Subscription Sats-Back:

• Paid subscribers receive 50% of their subscription cost back in sats monthly
• Sats-back is credited to your Redeem wallet at the start of each billing period

Referral Sats-Back:

• Referrers and referred users both receive enhanced Sats-back for the first month
• Referral rewards are subject to the Referral Program terms in Section 21.4

Redemption:

• Sats accumulated in your Redeem wallet can be redeemed at any time
• Redeemed Sats are transferred to your self-custody wallet
• Redemption is subject to minimum thresholds and network fees
• Rewards and Sats-back are subject to availability and program terms
• We reserve the right to modify reward rates with reasonable notice

7.1 Parental Responsibility

• Parents/guardians responsible for all child account activity
• Must provide verifiable consent for children under 13
• Control and monitor children's Bitcoin activities

7.2 Child Account Limitations

• Limited transaction amounts and frequencies
• Parental approval required for transactions
• Educational content appropriate for age

7.3 Family Invitations

• Only invite family members with their consent
• Responsible for family member actions
• Can revoke family access at any time

7.4 Chore System

The Family Corner includes a chore management system allowing parents to assign tasks to children:

• Parents create and assign chores with points or sats rewards
• Chores may be one-time or recurring (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly)
• Children submit evidence of completion (including photos) for parental review
• Parents verify and approve chore completions before rewards are granted
• Points earned from chores can be redeemed for sats, subject to parental approval and minimum thresholds
• Photos and evidence submitted as part of chore completion are stored securely and accessible to the parent and child

7.5 Learn Management

Parents can manage their children's educational experience through the Learn Management feature:

• Parents assign specific courses to children and control access to educational content
• Parents can grant or restrict access to individual courses per child
• Parents set learning goals with sats incentives (e.g., complete a course, maintain a learning streak)
• Children earn sats upon achieving parent-set learning goals
• Learning progress is tracked and visible to both parent and child
• Some courses are available to all subscription tiers; others require a paid subscription

8.1 Cancellation Rights

• Cancel subscription at any time through account settings
• Cancellation effective at end of current billing period
• Continue to have access until period ends

• No refunds for terminated accounts due to violations

10.1 Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

10.2 Know Your Customer (KYC)

• Identity verification required for certain features
• Enhanced due diligence for high-value transactions
• Ongoing monitoring of account activity

10.3 Sanctions Compliance

• Prohibited from serving sanctioned individuals or entities
• Accounts may be suspended for sanctions violations

• You retain rights to content you submit
• Grant us license to use content for Service operation

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Disputes subject to exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.

15.3 Informal Resolution

Contact customer support before pursuing legal action at support@btcbitbybit.com. 30-day informal resolution period.

• Terms may be updated periodically
• Material changes notified via email or in-app notification
• Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes

21.1 Redeem/Earn Feature

• Sats earned through educational activities and subscription benefits are credited to your Redeem wallet
• The Redeem wallet tracks your earned Sats until you choose to redeem them
• Upon redemption, Sats are transferred from our operational wallet to your self-custody wallet
• Redemption is subject to network fees (Lightning or Liquid Network)
• We reserve the right to modify reward rates and redemption terms with reasonable notice
• Unredeemed Sats remain available in your Redeem wallet as long as your account is active

21.2 Liquid Network Transactions

• Separate from Bitcoin mainnet
• Subject to Liquid Network terms and conditions
• Enhanced privacy features available

21.3 Family Wallet Features

• Parents liable for all family transaction activity
• Transaction limits based on account verification level
• Educational restrictions apply to minor accounts
• Family members earn and redeem Sats independently within parental oversight

21.4 Referral Program

• Users may generate a personal referral code and share it with others
• When a referred user subscribes to a paid tier, both the referrer and the referred user receive enhanced Sats-back for their first month
• One referral code per user account
• Referral rewards are for genuine referrals only; creating multiple accounts, self-referrals, or other manipulation will result in forfeiture of rewards and possible account suspension
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral program, including reward amounts and eligibility criteria, with reasonable notice
• Referral rewards are subject to the same redemption terms as other Sats-back rewards (see Section 21.1)

21.5 Newsletter

• You may subscribe to our email newsletter for Bitcoin education content and updates
• Newsletter subscription is optional and not required to use the Service
• You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each newsletter email
• Your email address is used in accordance with our Privacy Policy
